Royal Family melody. Opens doors and activates mechanisms when played on or near a Triforce symbol; required throughout the game to prove identity and trigger events.
Contacts Saria for hints. Also lifts the Goron's depression in Goron City and is required in several locations to proceed.
Summons the horse Epona to Link as an adult; fills an empty bottle with milk when played near a cow.
Instantly switches between day and night when played outdoors; temporarily freezes ReDeads and Gibdos.
Moves or removes blue Time Blocks; opens the Door of Time in the Temple of Time when played with the Ocarina of Time and the three Spiritual Stones.
Summons rain; fills dry wells, spins the Kakariko windmill, and opens hidden grottos/holes in certain spots.

Every song Link can learn, with both control layouts side by side. Sort by any column, or filter to jump straight to the tune you need — the six warp songs (Minuet, Bolero, Serenade, Nocturne, Requiem, Prelude) all teleport you near a dungeon entrance.

💡 N64 vs 3DS layout
The two control schemes map the same five notes differently. On N64 the notes live on the C-buttons plus A; on 3DS / Switch they sit on the face buttons and shoulders. The sequences are identical in pitch — only the button labels change, which is why the player above lets you toggle.
