Forest Temple Guide
To clear the Forest Temple, defeat the four Poe sisters to fill the central well, drop in to find the Hookshot, straighten the twisted hallway with the connected switches, then beat Phantom Ganon with the Fairy Bow and a sword volley. The reward is the Forest Medallion.
This is the first adult temple, built around rotating rooms and a hub where each Poe sister lights one of four torches.

The four Poe sisters
The central courtyard has four colored torches and four Poe sisters hiding in paintings around the temple. Beat each sister to light her torch; lighting all four drains the central well and reveals the lower temple.

Enter from the Sacred Forest Meadow
Reach the temple at the back of the Lost Woods meadow. Two Stalfos guard the first courtyard — clear them to proceed.

Hunt the Poe sisters
Work clockwise through the wings to fight Joelle, Beth, Amy, and Meg. Each defeated sister lights one courtyard torch.

Drain the well, grab the Hookshot
With all four torches lit, the central well empties. Drop down to find the Hookshot chest — your main traversal tool for the rest of the temple.
💡 The Hookshot lets you cross gaps and rip down the spinning ceiling-wall switches.

Straighten the twisted hallway
A connected switch rotates the warped corridor back to normal. Hit it, then walk the now-level hall to the boss wing.

Open the Boss Key door
Use the Hookshot on the high targets and your collected 5 small keys to reach the Boss Key, then climb to Phantom Ganon.
💡 Twisted / warped hallway
That hallway tilted 90° isn't a glitch — a switch nearby rotates the whole corridor. Hookshot or hit the switch to straighten it before walking through, otherwise you'll keep sliding off.
Boss: Phantom Ganon
Phantom Ganon fights in two phases — a painting chase, then an energy-orb tennis match. Required item: the Fairy Bow.

Phase 1 — pick the real painting
He charges out of one of several paintings. Watch for the real Phantom Ganon (riding toward you), then shoot him with an arrow to knock him to the floor and slash him.

Phase 2 — play tennis
He floats and throws an energy orb. Deflect it back with a sword swing, rallying until it stuns him.
💡 You can return the orb with the sword or, with timing, the Bow.

Punish the stun
When the volley stuns him, hit him with an arrow and close in for sword combos. Repeat to finish.
